Brief history

The Company MEDLINE Ltd.. (as an llc) was founded by Katalin Blechinger-Brauner in 1986 in Austria. At this time MEDLINE was mainly focused on exporting high quality medical instruments and devices (OP-lamps, electrocutters, ultrasonic aspirators, perfusions and infusions pumps, heart valves and technical services) to the still communist countries of the Central European region.

Dou to the political changes and the democratization process our export markets expanded during 1989 and 1990, Medline created subsidiaries in the Czech Republic, in Slovakia and in Hungary. Each subsidiary has its own sales staff, administration and stock.

The head office of MEDLINE's Hungarian branch - Medline'S Kft. - is located in Halásztelek in the very South of Budapest, on the largest island of Duna River. Our office and warehouse building of 900 m2 is owned by the stakeholders of Medline’S Kft.

Medline'S Kft. has eleven employees and conducts business in Hungary with an annual turnover of app. EUR 7.2 million.

As a main part of our business activities, we are primarily concentrating on the demands and needs of the Hungarian sector of heart surgery, interventional  cardiology and neuro-radiology.

In addition, we are proud to have established excellent contacts to other departments and have a very good reputation on the Hungarian market.

Ms. Brauner Katalin
Owner and Managing Director
As a MSc in Horticultural Engineering she graduated also in economics and as a foreign trade expert. She is a qualified KTI-health care manager and studied also philosophy. She communicates in German, English, and Hungarian and has 40 years of practice in international trade and transactions. She worked mainly in the market of Austria, and also in those of Holland, Germany, Italy, France, and Great Britain.

Mr. Keresztes Istvan
Director of Tendering, Official Public Procurement Advisor

He graduated as MSc. in Electrical Engineering. Before 2015 he worked as certified public procurement advisor, since then as an Official Public Procurement Advisor (FAKSZ). Being a licensed planning engineer and chartered expert in medical technology, he also has a diploma as writer and fulfillment manager of EU tenders. His duties include the coordination of activities in the sphere of public procurement tenders, as well as managing the realization of larger projects, elaborating strategies, and concepts and contents of tenders. He authorizes public procurement procedures and supervises their realization, and maintains contacts to executives of health care institutions.

Mr. Zsolt JÉCSÁK
Logistics Manager
He manages our own warehouse and the consignment warehouse, monitors stocks and directs the activities in logistics, being responsible for deliveries.
Ms. MAG Éva
Office Manager
She is a MSc in Business Administration and has 20 years of experience in office management. She is responsible for Customer Service and for invoicing.
Ms. GYŐRY Erika
Professional Advisor in Public Procurement
She graduated in Health Care University College in Budapest and before 2015 worked as a certified public procurement advisor.
In 2015 she received the license of an Official Public Procurement Advisor (FAKSZ) and has a diploma as writer and fulfillment manager of EU tenders. Her duties: preparation of public procurement projects, writing and managing tenders, monitoring events in connection with future/actual public procurement projects. She is managing our ties/contacts to partner companies.
Mrs. Klára Fürstner
The newest member of MedlineS Kft. Division: Regional Sales Representative. Area: Western Hungary and partly Budapest. Degree in economics, more than 10 years of experience in the field of trade.English and German language skills.
Ms. Annamaria KOSZTYU
She has a clinical background as MSc. in Biology, working now for 10 years in medical equipment practice. She is proficient in English.
Mrs. Ibolya PALOTÁS
Warehouse Manager
She works as Warehouse Manager and Hygienic Operator.
“Security Service Staff”
Sufficient KOMONDOR-style security is provided by “Kisgesztelyi Harcos Hamvas Minka”, an ancient white-haired Hungarian breed that hates friends and foe alike, as dictated by our times. A German Shepherd with the pedigree of “Erdőtelki Bruno von der Mohrwiese” is in the front of guarding our Headquarters in Halásztelek. A global player, often absent when his senses are needed in rescuing operations (avalanches, floods, other catastrophes) in nearby countries.
